Last fashion post I promise, I will do a beauty one soon!
The only thing English people look forward to in Summer, is that the rain gets warmer.
Summer in England doesn't really feel like a summer, we expect it to be warm and sunny where you can lay on the beach with an ice cream or sit outside with your family and have a barbeque. When in reality it's carrying an umbrella around every time you go outside and holding your hair down to stop it being blown away in the wind. Although I must admit it has been quite hot the past few days but it's not like we're in Barbados. So I put together an outfit which can be worn when it's not as warm but so you still feel like it's summer.
Ok so I started with a black skater skirt which can be worn alone or with tights if it's windy, as no one wants a Marilyn Monroe moment, this particular one is £12.99 and is sold at H&M. I teamed this with a jumper from Topshop which retails for £30-50. I chose this because the bright print and colours on the front make it feel more summery, yet the knit of it will keep you warm and cosy.
The black dolly shoes with a gold chain hard wear are also from H&M and are £19.99 - I chose these because they keep your feet a tad warmer than sandals or flip flops do. As I said about hair being blown all over the place due to the wind, a beanie or any hat will prevent that from happening, this particular mustard colour one is £13.00 from Topshop and I think it's perfect for windier summer days or if you are having a bad hair day.
